the TAAU message
board is an excellent source for news and events, we wanted
to do more, and so in the tradition of all the big US-based
news sites out there, we have assembled a team of reporters
to constantly update this section each and every day for you.
As there are already a number of excellent international news
sites out there, we have decided to dedicate this section to
Australian-specific information only, all of which we receive
direct from our contacts at Hasbro, Madman, Atari and, of course,
the hundreds of TAAU members out there who visit the site each
and every day to report their findings, so if you want to keep
up-to-date with local news and events, this is the place to
be! |

MOVIE TOYS ARE (ALMOST) EVERYWHERE
New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia... reports are flying in from all over about the new Transformers movie toys hitting local shelves.
Intrepid TAAU members have found everything from Leader-class Optimus Prime to the cute-n-plus "Softimus Prime" at their local Toyworld, Target and K-Mart stores. Check out the above link to learn of sightings in your area, or to add to the map we're slowly creating of new toy goodness.

MOVIE TOYS RELEASED... EARLY... IN AUSTRALIA
A new era for Transformers is on the horizon, so it's only appropriate it be heralded in by the findings of a new TAAU member.
Adi, who has just joined us on the boards, is the first to locate Transformers: The Movie merchandise in Australia. He found the Movie Preview Optimus Prime Protoform at Toyland in Burwood Westfield, NSW.
Not to be outdone, South Australian-based member SpeedBreaker located the Cyber Slammer figures and the Optimus Prime Voice Changer helmet at Toyworld in Rundle Mall, Adelaide. The Slammers - which are slightly larger than a Deluxe-sized figure, and transform as they roll along - retail for $16.99. The helmets retail for $89.99 and feature a passable impersonation of long-time Prime voice actor Peter Cullen.
