| Although
the TAAU message
board is an excellent source for news and events, we wanted
to do more, and so in the tradition of all the big US-based
news sites out there, we have assembled a team of reporters
to constantly update this section each and every day for you.
As there are already a number of excellent international news
sites out there, we have decided to dedicate this section to
Australian-specific information only, all of which we receive
direct from our contacts at Hasbro, Madman, Atari and, of course,
the hundreds of TAAU members out there who visit the site each
and every day to report their findings, so if you want to keep
up-to-date with local news and events, this is the place to
be! |

HASBRO REISSUE G1 ASTROTRAIN DISCOVERED IN KMART
Long-time TAAU member Sharkysparky has discovered none other than previous Toys "R" Us exclusive reissue G1 Astrotrain in Kmart! (Campbelltown, NSW).
Not only that, but apparently when it was scanned, it registered as being 20% off (because of their current sale), bringing the price down to $18.36 (from $22.95).
TAAU member The Damned has also reported finding eight Astrotrains in Kmart Batemans Bay, so it looks like Hasbro have been good to us yet again and are distributing these through Kmarts now, so head down to your local store this weekend and let us know what you find in this thread here.

10% OFF MADMAN BEAST WARS ORDERS FOR TAAU MEMBERS/FRIENDS
Hey guys, a special update for you: check out BeastWars.com.au as Madman have just updated the site with a neat little preview trailer from the interviews they conducted earlier this year with Alec Willows, Garry Chalk, Scott McNeil and David Kaye.
Of course, the DVD also features a lot more: interviews with Mainframe animators, Simon Furman, a ton of commentaries, and some nice unpublished extras! I have been told that it will also have ALL the scripts and the Botcon comics, and randomised intros from all writers and voice cast!
In addition, I am also very happy to be able to bring you yet another TAAU special offer/promo code: BEASTAMONGUS3. The discount deal is even better this time, too!
They have brand new Beast Wars T-Shirts, Beast Wars Season 3, and Best of Transformers all available here.
All you need to do is select at least one of the items on the list and use the code BEASTAMONGUS3 to get 10% off your order! Yes, you can add anything you want to the order and you'll still get 10%, oh, and by the way, anyone can use the code, so share it with your friends and tell them TAAU sent you!

The page updates every few weeks or so and currently features images of Astrotrain, Megatron, Optimus, the insignias and even the back-of-the-box battle image from the 1984/85 toys.
They're quite neat, they're all G1 and they're up to download.

Long-time TAAU member Vert today found Classics Optimus Prime and Megatron at David Jones in Tuggerah, NSW, for $46.95 each. A few hours later, fellow member Sharkysparky located the deluxe-sized figures- Starscream, Hot Rod, Bumblebee and Astrotrain - at David Jones in Campbelltown, NSW, for $24.95 each.
Concluding the day for big finds, yours truly located Galaxy Force Vector Prime - the gold and black repaint of Primus' avatar - at Toyworld, Rundle Mall, Adelaide for $46.95. According to staff, Galaxy Force Optimus Prime - the red and black repaint of the Autobot leader - was in the same shipment but sold out earlier in the week, even with a $109 price tag.
