to do more, and so in the tradition of all the big US-based
news sites out there, we have assembled a team of reporters
to constantly update this section each and every day for you.
As there are already a number of excellent international news
sites out there, we have decided to dedicate this section to
Australian-specific information only, all of which we receive
direct from our contacts at Hasbro, Madman, Atari and, of course,
the hundreds of TAAU members out there who visit the site each
and every day to report their findings, so if you want to keep
up-to-date with local news and events, this is the place to

DROUGHT ENDS, NEW CYBERTRON TOYS TRICKLE THROUGH
It should be common knowledge, by now, that several new Transformers: Cybertron toys are out on the shelves. Cybertron Defence Red Alert, the Mini-con two-packs and the deluxe two-packs (including hard-to-get figures Sideways and Crosswise) are out at Target, Big W, Toyworld and Toys R Us stores, respectively.
This weekend brought with it a new rash of sightings, spread far and wide over the country. Tankage became the second person to find Downshift (Vert being the first) at TRU Northland, where he also snagged a Cybertron Defence Hot Shot. Over at Paramatta TRU, Fit For Natalie scored himself a Dark Crumplezone and a Cybertron Defence Scattorshot. Meanwhile, at TRU Knox City, iamonqq found Lugnutz and Scrapmetal. There have also been sightings of some of these figures in Adelaide.
It would seem the long TF drought that plagued Australia from the end of Wave 2 is all but over, as promised by Hasbro insider Laserbeak a few weeks back. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope these scattered sightings translate to full-blown shelf-filling very quickly.

CYBERTRON PRIMUS TO BE RELEASED IN AUSTRALIA WITH SEVERED UNICRON HEAD?
It was officially announced on Hasbro's web site in late February that initial quantities of Cybertron Primus would come with a bonus 3-inch battle-damaged Unicron head (for the US only), as you can see right here.
However, according to TAAU member Red Alert, he has it on good authority that not only will Primus be released in Australia, but he will also come with Unicron's severed head!
Red Alert made his claim in this thread on the TAAU board, and if it turns out to be true, it will be very exciting news indeed! Stay tuned for further announcements.

HI-RES GALAXY FORCE / CYBERTRON PRIMUS BOX ART SCAN NOW AVAILABLE AT TAAU
The Transformers community was set alight a few months back with the announcement of upcoming Galaxy Force/Cybertron figure Primus, and it was set ablaze again recently when the first shots of his box art appeared online.
Many images of the stunning scene have been posted over the last couple of weeks, however thanks to TAAU member Red Alert - who went out this morning and got the back of his Takara box professionally scanned - we are now able to bring you a hi-res 1600px X 1484px version of the illustration, weighing in at just over 1.2mb.
So, if you've been dying to get your hands on this stunning Convoy/Prime scene for a desktop wallpaper, site background or anything else you can think of, then look no further than right here ;) Enjoy!

TRANSFORMERS: BEAST WARS SEASON 1 BOX SETS ARRIVE AT MADMAN WAREHOUSE
I have just received word from Madman that their Beast Wars season 1 box sets are now in the warehouse, so they should be listed as being 'in stock' very soon, and as a result, pre-orders are due to start shipping next week!
