| Although
the TAAU message
board is an excellent source for news and events, we wanted
to do more, and so in the tradition of all the big US-based
news sites out there, we have assembled a team of reporters
to constantly update this section each and every day for you.
As there are already a number of excellent international news
sites out there, we have decided to dedicate this section to
Australian-specific information only, all of which we receive
direct from our contacts at Hasbro, Madman, Atari and, of course,
the hundreds of TAAU members out there who visit the site each
and every day to report their findings, so if you want to keep
up-to-date with local news and events, this is the place to
be! |

CYBERTRON WAVE THREE... DOWN UNDER
Just when you thought it was safe to open your wallets again...
TAAU member TechnicolorPooka is the first person to spot Transformers: Cybertron Wave 3 toys in store, with his discovery of Dark Scorponok in Brisbane.
Fellow boarder Felafel, meanwhile, found two of the Wave 3 basic figures - Undermine and Armourhide - at Target in Bourke St, Melbourne. And long-time member Sharkysparky found those figures with fellow basic Brakedown at Target in Roselands. Given Target Australia's general lack of Cybertron stock of late, this is good news indeed.
Time to peel those optic sensors, Transfans, as the next invasion is seemingly upon us!

SUBMIT YOUR BEAST WARS EXTRAS IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS
Following on from the recent Beast Wars announcement by Madman, Llamatron from the TAAU board suggested asking whether they would be prepared to accept extras suggestions for their upcoming DVD box sets, so I dropped them a line and the producer replied, saying that he'd be more than willing to seriously consider any ideas from the Australian fandom!
So yet again, we are giving you the chance to let Madman know what you'd like to see on their next release, so either get posting your ideas in this specially created thread on the TAAU board, or send your suggestions to me at submissions@theyareamongus.com, and all entries will be forwarded on to Madman for consideration at the end of the month!

NEW CYBERTRON TOYS IN-STORE
They're the last two figures shown on the back of the current Cybertron planet map, and they're now hitting Australian stores!
Override (fembot leader of the Autobot tribe on the lost planet Speedia) and Red Alert (scientist, mechanic, all-round top 'mech) were spotted in Toyworld, Rundle Mall, South Australia today, retailing for $27.95 each.
Along with the recently-released Supreme Starscream, these figures complete the first two waves of Cybertron - moving us ever-closer to wave three.
So keep your eye out for them but remember... Toyworld will be launching a new catalogue in the coming weeks, so prices are likely to go down.
