| Although
the TAAU message
board is an excellent source for news and events, we wanted
to do more, and so in the tradition of all the big US-based
news sites out there, we have assembled a team of reporters
to constantly update this section each and every day for you.
As there are already a number of excellent international news
sites out there, we have decided to dedicate this section to
Australian-specific information only, all of which we receive
direct from our contacts at Hasbro, Madman, Atari and, of course,
the hundreds of TAAU members out there who visit the site each
and every day to report their findings, so if you want to keep
up-to-date with local news and events, this is the place to
be! |

CASE FRESH CONFIRMS ALTERNATOR PROWL
Our generous site sponsors, Case Fresh, have posted details of a brand new Alternator on their site.
According to their information, the latest addition to the ranks of the updated Autobots is none other than the ultra-logical military strategist, Prowl - in the form of an Acura Integra!
The news confirms rumours that have been floating for some time now about Prowl's inclusion in the line. Pictures of the supposed prototype can be seen here on TAAU's messageboards.
Prowl is scheduled for release in May. Case Fresh is offering its customers the chance to pre-order him for $45 - or you can pre-order all of May's releases (including Shockblast, Battle Ravage and Wheeljack) as a set for $39 each.
Thanks to TAAU board member Legham for pointing this out.

ENERGON DINOS OFF THE EXTINCTION LIST
Laserbeak promised and Toys 'R' Us has delivered - Grimlock and Swoop, the Energon Dinobots, have returned to store shelves!
The prehistoric duo were sighted last night at TRU Adelaide, along with their fellow Autobot Wingsaber, the G1 Starsaber homage who can combine with Optimus Prime.
And as we know from past experience, if the toys have reached Adelaide then they have to be in the other states already, so start hunting them down, folks!
In other news, TAAU board member reillyd reports finding a new wave of Energon basic combiner limbs - including the remaining pieces of Superion Maximus and Constructicon Maximus - at Big W in Runaway Bay. The wave also includes the first two basic-sized members of the Energon Combaticons.

2005 BEGINS WITH A THREE-DAY TF MARATHON
Foxtel's Cartoon Network breaks its month-long Transformers drought this week by devoting almost three days of its Toonami Meltdown to our favourite robots in disguise.
On Wednesday, January 5 at 11am CST, CN will show a burst of episodes from Transformers: Armada, beginning with "Miracle". It will then show all subsequent episodes up to "Origin" at 3.30pm CST. The marathon resumes the next day at 6am CST with "Mortal Combat", the final episode of the series.
Not content to stop there, CN follows on at 6.30am CST with "Cybertron City", the first episode of Transformers: Energon. The station will then show every episode to "Battle Stations" at 3.30pm CST and, the next day, recommence from 6am CST with every episode from "Alpha Q: Identity" to "Ambition" - the introduction of the gestalts and newest episode to have been screened on Australian TV so far.
The marathon means CN will have broadcast every episode of Armada and every available episode of Energon three times each, which usually means brand-new episodes are not too far away.
So set your VCRs and hope no one wants to change the channel, or kick back for a few days and prepare not to move. If you've ever wanted to see or tape all of the "modern" TF continuity, this is your chance.
