to do more, and so in the tradition of all the big US-based
news sites out there, we have assembled a team of reporters
to constantly update this section each and every day for you.
As there are already a number of excellent international news
sites out there, we have decided to dedicate this section to
Australian-specific information only, all of which we receive
direct from our contacts at Hasbro, Madman, Atari and, of course,
the hundreds of TAAU members out there who visit the site each
and every day to report their findings, so if you want to keep
up-to-date with local news and events, this is the place to

ALTERNATOR DEAD END COMING TO AUSTRALIA LATE AUGUST/EARLY SEPTEMBER
Thanks to Legham from the TAAU boards for letting us know that CaseFresh.com have updated their site, adding a pre-order for Alternator Dead End which is due to arrive in September, however we could possibly see him in stores even earlier than this, so keep your eyes peeled, as he'll be available locally within the next month or so!

NEW CASE FRESH ARRIVALS AND PRE-ORDERS!
CaseFresh.com have updated thier website with new stock and pre-orders: Altenator Hound and Silverstreak are now available, as well as Universe wave 2 deluxe figures, which consisit of Skydive, Fireflight w/Terradive, and Nemesis Striker.
Universe wave 2 Ultra figures, consisting of Magna Stampede/Stockade and Whirl w/Gunbarrel/Prowl are also up for pre-order, so it's time to dust off those credit cards people! Have fun!

Thanks to WIIGII from the TAAU boards for letting us know that Target's toy sale have finally been announced. Page 54 of their huge online catalogue lists all the savings you can expect to find on Transformers items, including:

DECEPTIKONZ RAP IN NEW ZEALAND
You may have heard of New Zealand's awesome hip-hop/rapper, Scribe, and his latest chart tune, 'Not Many' (how many dudes you know flow like this? - you know the one!). Well, he is mates with another group in N.Z called The Deceptikonz, and if you watch Scribe's film clip, 'Stand Up', the Deceptikonz get a mention and also features fans in the back dancing with Decepticon logo shirts. Pretty neat!

AUSTRALIA'S FIRST TRANSFORMERS CONVENTION ANNOUNCED
Currently, Goktimus Prime of Planet Sabretron and Jay of SikCowToys are both working hard to bring us Australia's first ever dedicated Transformers convention!
Although no official bookings or confirmations have been made, they are hoping to hold the event at the Ashfield Catholic and Community Club in Sydney NSW on November 6, where they plan to run competitions, games, debates, screenings and much more, and are even hoping to secure a convention exclusive toy as well!

MYGEEKSHOP.COM CLOSE AND ECOMICS.COM.AU OPEN!
I received a comic today from a new online comic retailor called eComics.com.au. According to the letter they enclosed, MyGeekShop.com has again changed management, and have closed for the time being, possibly for good. However, for those of you who have subscriptions outstanding (like me), don't fret; eComics.com.au has taken over the reigns. They also included a small letter with my comic, which I have scanned below.

TRANSFORMERS ART EXHIBITION: KINETIC SCULPTURAL PORTRAITS
Australian artist, Scott Campbell, will be exhibiting his Transformers art at GBK's Chippendale space from July 8 - August 1.
"His malleable Transformer portraits explore what it means to be, or to have, 'role models', and indeed the nature of sculpture in today's ever more rapidly changing society."

FEATURED FAN ART: RAVAGE'S G1 GALVATRON ILLUSTRATION
Just before heading down to Kings Comics on Saturday to do a signing for his new comic, Azerath, TAAU board member Ravage 'whipped up' an amazing illustration of G1 Galvatron to give away at the event, however, luckily for us, he scanned the artwork beforehand and has kindly posted it on the board right here, so check it out, as it really is outstanding!

TAAU'S JULY COMPETITION NOW OPEN
We are very pleased and very excited to announce that we have teamed up Australia's newest online retailer this month, run by long-time board member and TAAU supporter, Fireshrine, who has been providing cheap, reliable, Japanese imports to many of us in an 'unofficial' capacity for quite some time now, however, after a lot of hard work, he has finally launched his own online toy store, CompulsiveBehavior.com!

TRANSFORMERS IN LATEST TOYS "R" US CATALOGUE
TAAU Board member Basic_Zarak has posted that the latest Toys "R" Us catalogue is out and features Transformers on page 2.
20th Anniversary Prime is advertised at the hot price of $129.99, while Energon Deluxes (with Inferno pictured), are advertised for $19.99, a saving of $4.00.
It is interesting to note that the photo used to promote Prime is actually the Takara version with the longer smokestacks.

BIG W HAVING A TOY SALE?
Hot on the heels of news that both Target and Kmart are having big toy sales soon comes the rumour that Big W will also be having a toy sale in the very near future. This information comes directly from an instore source who believes the sudden increase in general toy stocks recently is indicative of an upcoming sale.
Last years Big W toy sale offered some great savings on Armada, so if this rumour turns out to be true hopefully similar savings will apply to Energon this year. Please remember that this is still only a rumour and that we'll try and bring you more information as it comes to hand.

Yes that's right, K-Mart are having their big toy sale on Thursday, July 8.

TARGET'S BIG TOY SALE IS COMING!
Target start their huge annual toy sale this year on July 22.
Whilst the toy catalogue hasn't been released yet, you might want to start saving those pennies so you can take advantage of the great savings that are sure to be on offer.
