Most
of you will know Senex-Prime
as the Question Master from our popular TAAU Trivia section,
however you may not also realise that, by day, Senex works
for an Advertising agency, employed as none other than a Graphic
Designer!
"I've been drawing
for as long as I can remember, probably cutting my artistic
teeth on the walls with a crayon as a toddler," he jokes.
"As far as Transformers go, I've been drawing
them since they first came out. A friend and I created about
20 Transformers of our own at school, who then featured in
our own comic strips, and 'Senex Prime' was actually the name
of one of these Transformers."
Senex studied art all through High School, and had his Year
12 Major Work exhibited in ArtExpress, which showcases the
best Major Works of the year, and yes, you guessed it, there
were Transformers in the drawing: Optimus Prime, Tracks, Hound
and Roadhandler! From there, he completed an Associate Diploma
in Graphic Design which landed him the job he has now. He
lists his major Transformers art influences as none other
than Geoff Senior, Andy Wildman, Will Simpson and of course
the Dreamwave team.
His own comic strip, Divergence,
can be seen here,
and he's also contributed two covers, Shrapnel and Motormaster,
to Raksha's Decepticon-loving fanzine, ConQuest.
