| SUBMISSION
GUIDELINES:
All members of TAAU
are invited to submit questions for the TAAU Trivia section!
Questions from any Transformers™ era and medium (TV,
toys, comics, tech specs, children's books, etc) will be accepted
for entry, providing the correct answer can also be supplied.
Submissions should be e-mailed to Senex Prime at: trivia@theyareamongus.com,
with "TAAU Trivia Question" as the subject header.
In the body of your e-mail, clearly state your question and
answer, along with any supporting evidence for your answer
if you feel it is needed. Also, don't forget to include your
TAAU nickname, so you can be properly credited for the question.
Usage of submitted questions is soley at the discretion of
TAAU: if we feel the question is too obscure, way out, silly
or just plain wrong, we reserve the right not to use it.
Also, it goes without saying that you cannot answer your own
question!
So what are you waiting for? Get those brain modules working,
and send us your tricky Transformers trivia teasers!
TAAU
TRIVIA RULES:
1. Each Monday, Wednesday
and Friday, a new question will be posted on TAAU's Trivia
section. The actual time of posting will be random, so as
to give everyone a chance at being the first to answer the
question.
All users can freely reply and post answers to questions,
however only Senex Prime and Stephen Jesson are to post new
threads and new questions within the 'Game on!' section. Any
threads started by anyone other than these two members will
be immediately deleted without warning or prejudice.
2. The first TAAU member to answer the question correctly
is deemed to be the winner, and will earn a point.
3. If a question is not answered correctly within 48 hours
(2 days) of the question being posted, then the answer will
be revealed to everyone, and the member who posed the question
will be awarded two points.
4. A member may not answer their own question!
5. Each member is responsible for the veracity of any questions
submitted. If there is a dispute as to an answer, it is the
member's responsibility to prove their answer is correct.
If a disputed answer cannot be proved to the satisfaction
of TAAU, no points are awarded to anyone for that question.
6. TAAU's decision on the awarding of points is final and
no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The "Three Guess" Rule: In the spirit of friendly
competition that we hope the TAAU Trivia section will have,
we have decided to implement a new "Three Guess"
rule.
What this means is that each member will only be allowed three
guesses at each question posed. This is to stop members attempting
a "scattershot" approach at answering questions,
where people rapidly send back many, many answers in an attempt
to "strike it lucky" or to narrow down the alternatives.
We would prefer people to make considered, educated attempts
at the answers, and to give all other members a fair go at
answering the questions. We will be issuing hints where appropriate,
so you don't need to use all your guesses within the first
two minutes of the question being posted!
Bear in mind that if you answer
a question correctly on your fourth guess, no points can be
awarded for that question to anyone, as the answer has been
unfairly revealed. So play fair, play within the rules and
we'll all have a great time!
Each week, the scores will be updated
and posted for all members to view. Points will be awarded
across five categories: G1, G2, BW/BM (also including Machine
Wars), RID/CR and Armada (Dreamwave's G1 comic falls into
the G1 category, as do any re-issue toys).
Members will be able to see who
is leading each of the five categories, as well as the Grand
Total of points.
